Was in a shabby state when we got this in covered in ropey varnish and stain.
We decided the door of was of the highest quality we removed all varnish and stain by hand back to its natural wood and sand finished it.
We applied two coats of Danish oil on both sides and the result is stunning.
The grain is luxurious in appearance.
Door is approximately 80 kilos and there are 4 hinges present to take the weight on a very strong frame.
locks need replacing for your own security. 2 Five lever deadlocks which makes it a really powerful door set.
Ready for final sanding and oiling. We don’t recommend varnish. Oil once a year will keep it stunning.
